Herman Scheer Addresses Dutch Solar Energy Conference

The driving force behind the successful German energy policy addresses the Dutch solar energy conference

Herman Scheer, also known as the European 'Al Gore'. He will address the solar energy conference " The Solar Future " in April in Rotterdam. The first large Dutch solar energy conference of this century has been named 'The Solar Future -- investing in solar energy'. Purpose of this conference is to increase awareness among researchers about international developments - and to inspire.

Herman Scheer is a big advocate of decentralised production of durable energy. Everywhere where people live and work, electricity and heat can be generated out of -- in time -- virtually free durable sources, like wind, sun, waves and the Earth.Herman Scheer brought about a remarkable energy revolution in Germany the last 10 years, which resulted in a share of 18% for durable energy. The United States at present scores a little less (2009) than 7%. The strong growth is based on the feed-in tariff, according to which home-made electricity can be fed back into the electricity grid against a fixed and guaranteed tariff.
