Not everyone has the time or wherewithal to wait for a solar power system to be designed and installed for use. When power on demand is required, there is an option available. Power ready solar systems are ideal for use in a variety of situations.

Power ready systems are just that. They arrive fully completed and totally integrated to begin capturing the sun's energy and transforming it into usable electrical power. These systems can range in size, but it is not uncommon to see them able to handle loads of 12 to 48 volts.

This type of system is commonly used in commercial and/or industrial settings where instant access to power is required, but utilities might not be. Some of the more common applications in which power ready system are used include:

• Radio operation - In remote sites where radios are a must, a power ready system can help make sure batteries are not in high demand.
• Outdoor security lighting - Power ready systems are frequently used to keep security lighting systems off the main electric grid. This means they will not be subject to power outs like electric driven lights would be.
• Surveillance - For the same reasons solar power is often preferred for security lighting, it shines for surveillance. If the power goes out on a regular system, cameras will go down. This is not the case with solar driven systems.
• System monitoring - It is quite common to find power ready solar devices running such things as gas and oil field monitoring systems, flow monitoring and more. In remote areas, this type of system can provide much-needed energy.
