Solar Brick Lights - Attractive and Functional Light Sources

Solar brick lights are an attractive way to provide lighting for driveways, sidewalks, patios, solar fountains and a myriad of other areas without the use of electricity and wires. In fact, there are a variety of uses for solar brick lights. Each brick light unit is self-contained and powered solely by sunlight. They add no charges to the user's electric bill.

The solar brick lights come in standard shapes and sizes. Each unit is usually 8 x 8 x 2 inches and comes in five different colors: red, yellow, blue, green and white. They are made of study silicone glass which will withstand the weight of cars and other traffic when used in driveways. This is why they are ideal for use in driveways. Just replace some of the bricks or stones with the solar brick lights or install them on the side of the driveway so there is always a lighted path at night. Some Decorative Solar Brick Lights

The unit contains solar cells which absorb the energy of the sun during the day. The unit converts the energy to electricity and stores it in 5 x AA batteries which power the lighting unit at night. The lights turn on automatically when it is dark and will provide up to 12 hours of light when fully charged. The batteries will charge fully with one hour of direct sunlight and 5-6 hours of partial sunlight. So the solar cells should obtain enough sunlight to power the unit wherever the solar brick lights are installed.

A solar brick light can be placed in either horizontal or vertical positions. They are easy to install and will function in all kinds of weather (unless they are covered with snow). The lighting units will also operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 75 Celsius. The units are waterproof and will not be harmed by rain.

The units are manufactured by Solar Brick Light, Inc. and a list of distributors is available on their website.
