CTI-80 - 80 Watts Direct Current Solar Power

CTI-80 solar modules are high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells that provide 80 watts of cost-effective, environmentally friendly direct current (DC) power. The panels measure 121 by 55 centimeters with a 3.5 CTI-80 Panelcentimeter thickness (47.8 by 21.5 inches with a 1.4 inch thickness) and weigh 10.5 kilograms (23.0 pounds). They are usually constructed from low-iron tempered glass and sturdy aluminum frames that can power up and be used for almost any application.

The high-efficiency polycrystalline solar panel converts sunlight into electricity for residential, commercial, and industrial uses, providing outstanding performance and cost-effective power. These applications include 12 Volt battery systems, water pumping, outdoor lighting, telecommunications, remote telemetry, and signaling systems, among many other uses. CTI-80 solar modules can be used as standalone or as part of grid-connected applications and even in recreational and marine vessels.

In the CTI-80 solar module, the high efficiency solar cells rest between special tempered, low-iron solar glass with a tedlar/polyester backing material. Their lightweight mounting frame is made from anodized marine grade aluminum. Subsequently, they can be installed in even extreme conditions such as boats. In addition, the conduit-ready junction box can be used with a large variety of cable and conduits, with dual positive/negative wire terminals accepting spade connectors as well.

Solar modules or photovoltaic modules are interconnected photovoltaic cells that are commonly known as "solar cells." Connected together, they are referred to as a photovoltaic array or solar panel. They need to be protected from the environment since moisture can easily corrode their metal contacts and interconnects. This can decrease the lifetime of their use as well as their performance especially in overcast and other conditions where sunlight isn't at its fullest. In addition, heat can also reduce its performance. Therefore, when installed, proper ventilation is recommended since most modules surprisingly do not incorporate temperature-decreasing design features.
