Home Power: The Outstanding Magazine for Alternative Energy

"Home Power" was founded in 1987 and was developed by Richard and Karen Perez, who were early visionaries on the importance of being environmentally sound - especially in regards to energy. Well before the energy situation was becoming a major crisis, this magazine was preaching a mission of changing the way people both create, and use, energy for their homes.

Home Power's emphasis isn't just on solar energy, but also on wind power, hydro power, and other types of natural power and/or energy. This magazine focused on every form of alternative power that was available, and continues to be a champion for a more sustainable life style on an individual level.

Solar energy is increasingly getting more and more attention here because technological advances have made solar power a far more viable source of energy on both a small and large scale since 1987. Home Power magazine still comes in print form, but there is also now an online version which continues to offer fantastic information on the advances in alternative and sustainable technologies. This magazine has always striven to make this information practical, accessible, and useful to individuals, and they continue to do so admirably.
