Be Your Own Power Company with an Off-Grid Solar Energy System

An off-grid solar energy system produces power which requires no support from the public utilities, making the owner a stand alone power company. A direct result of people living in remote, un-serviced utility locations, off-grid solar power systems have become increasingly popular with residents and businesses that are in utility service areas because of the freedom that they offer from the utility. While it is not likely that you will purchase a system that will be of service to all of your neighbors, it is very likely that you can invest an amount that will eliminate the need for dependence on the power grid.

He not only produces his own energy, but collects water and uses the principles of composting. It was recently suggested that as many as 180,000 families in the United States alone, live off-grid.
