The solar tent is a relatively recent idea, but one that has already been embraced by several companies who are in the business of producing solar powered based retail products. The solar tent is like a regular tent (although there are designs that are more like open tents for seller's booths), but with a solar panel on top that can produce solar energy for use, with the amount of power produced varying depending on the model.

The companies that produce these solar tents brag that they are perfect for disaster recovery missions, military operations, emergency medical care (particularly in the field), a computer communications post, or really any situation where shelter an secured power are both needed in an area where it simply isn't available by any other easy means.
